Candidates hired as full-time hourly production laborers enable scheduling flexibility to meet extra work loads and fill vacancies due to training, employee vacations, illness, injury, etc. Individuals in these positions may be assigned weekly to various departments based on operational needs. Job duties require physical labor and may include forklift operation, pulling and lifting, computer applications and the use of problem-solving skills. Candidates for these positions will need to handle multiple priorities, be able to work swing shifts (which includes all shifts, most weekends and holidays), be available for overtime, and work in various environmental conditions.
Previous manufacturing, forklift experience and prior shift work experience is preferred.
The starting average annual salary range is $40,000 to $50,000 per year. However, this is an hourly position. Sundays and Holidays worked are paid at double-time and shift differential is paid on 2nd and 3rd shift.
