Appvion, Inc. is recruiting for a Human Resources Intern for the Spring & Summer semesters of 2018.  The Human Resources internship is intended to provide students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and support the student’s career goals.  The Human Resources internship experience allows students the opportunity to integrate knowledge and skills in manners that are mutually beneficial to both the student and Appvion. 

 

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Spring Mill HR team
  • Research and collection of data
  • Assist with administering policies at the direction of Spring Mill HR team
  • Aid in a variety of project support as needed by the HR Team
  • Assist with company training and development initiatives
  • Scheduling interviews and greeting interview candidates
  • HRIS and Time and Attendance System maintenance
  • Assist with general administrative tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills

  • Have the ability to work both the Spring and Summer semester of 2018
  • Hard-working, mature, detail oriented, self-motivated
  • This position requires a high degree of confidentiality, tact and discretion
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks with little supervision
  • Must be detail oriented; need to adhere to strict timelines and deadlines
  • Must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills
  • Effective writing skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pursuing a BS degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field
