Expected Results

  • Administer retirement benefits to include responding to employee inquiries (e.g. estimates) and election requests related to the defined benefit pension plan; qualify and administer Qualified Domestic Relation Orders (QDROs) for both pension and KSOP plans
  • Administer open enrollment including developing timelines, monitoring  status of online enrollments, producing membership reports for vendors, auditing premium to be paid by employees (e.g. HRA participation), and answering employee questions

Supporting Activities

  • Responsible for open enrollment procedures including timeline creation, online enrollment, vendor files, auditing and answering employee questions
  • Coordinate the ERISA audit
  • Implement projects related to benefits (e.g. decisions made by Benefit Finance Committee)
  • Function as a liaison between vendors and employees and serve as an advisor to site Human Resources and employees regarding eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters
  • Compile and maintain benefit records, reports, and documents
  • Practice daily continuous improvement in all aspects of work, emphasizing problem solving and sharing with others

Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills

  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with SaaS solutions/products
  • Familiar with regulatory guidelines regarding benefits (i.e. COBRA, ACA, HIPPA)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Certifications (i.e. PHR or any IFEBP certifications in Benefit Plan Administration, Benefits and Compensation Management, Health Care Plans, or Retirement Plans)
  • Ability to work with various technologies and share knowledge with others
  • Adapt to changing priorities; prioritize work accordingly

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
