Appvion is looking to fill summer office and/or production positions at our Corporate and Appleton Plant locations. The temporary summer positions are generally considered as replacements for regular employees who are on vacation and to fill the jobs that do not require a qualifying skill. When a specific skill is required, recruitment will be based primarily on the qualifications (i.e. past education and employment) of the applicant to best match the skill required for the job.
Students will be required to complete basic tasks such as: data entry, filing, copying and answering phones within an office environment. These types of tasks may require some physical activity to include: bending, kneeling, squatting, some lifting, reaching over your head, standing and walking. The rate of pay for office jobs is $10.00/hour. No other premium payments will apply other than overtime for over 40 hours in a week.
Production jobs may require physical activity including (but not limited to) bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching over your head, standing and walking in a production setting. Jobs may consist of working on a coating or rewinding machine, driving a tow-motor, handling a hoist and other job related duties as directed by your manager. This work may be done on rotating 12-hour shifts which will include nights and may include weekends. Working conditions are primarily in a non-air conditioned mill/production setting. The rate of pay for production jobs is $13.50 per hour, plus shift differential. Returning students will receive $13.75 per hour, plus shift differential. No other premium payments will apply other than overtime for over 40 hours in a week.

Please note the number of available positions for hire is currently pending and will be determined by early April. Selection of applicants will be granted to the sons/stepsons and daughters/stepdaughters of Appvion employees first. NOTE: We cannot guarantee there will be a position available for all students that apply. As a result, we encourage all applicants to also pursue all summer employment opportunities outside of Appvion.
