  • Expected Results

    • The general responsibilities of the maintenance planner are to create job plans for daily maintenance work, as well as plan and schedule major equipment outage work  
    • Define and obtain materials, tools, documentation, and resources needed to complete the maintenance work, and manage the planning backlog

    Supporting Activities

    • Create and update standard work procedures
    • Update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) database
    • Coordinate service contractors
    • Generate management reports
    • Interface with multiple groups such as Operations, Engineering, Contractors, Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Craft Workers, Purchasing, Accounting, Stores, and outside vendors 
    • Participate in duty coverage team rotation that requires weekend and on-call coverage
    • Take personal responsibility for adhering to all loss prevention programs within the mill through the use of specific activity based objectives, reviewed on a routine and annual basis.

    Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills

    • Ability to define problems and collect data
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Computerized Maintenance Management System, (CMMS)
    • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, equipment maintenance, and repair procedures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably pulp and paper manufacturing  
    • A degree or certification in a technical mechanical, electro-mechanical or electrical field, or equivalent education or work experience is preferred
