  • Expected Results

    • Develop marketing communication strategies that target key channel audiences (printers, converters, merchants, end users, etc.) to ensure the strength of Appvion’s brands at each level and to solicit the greatest return on investment
    • Manage the implementation of the communication strategy tactics including, but not limited to, , direct/online campaigns, advertising, collateral materials, web site content, trade shows, promotions, packaging design, and PR in order to drive brand recognition and loyalty
    • Lead branding strategy, architecture, identity, experience, and positioning efforts to ensure cohesive, strong brands, to take advantage of synergies across markets whenever possible, and to ensure consistent messaging

    Supporting Activities

    • Participate in the development of strategic and annual marketing plans with assigned responsibilities that assist in delivering the stated marketing and financial objectives (revenue, mix, GP%, and budget spend)
    • Understand, gather and organize the necessary marketing information to suggest and plan the most appropriate and efficient communication strategies to achieve marketing objectives
    • Manage promotional budgets
    • Track campaign results and measure effectiveness
    • Support product launches in coordination with product managers
    • Maintain consistency with corporate branding, trademarks, identity and positioning
    • Enforce protection of brands and trademarks
    • Effectively lead cross functional teams to deliver stated results through people, often without direct reporting relationships
    • Effectively managing and developing direct reports

    Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills

    • BA/BS in Marketing. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of education
    • Experience developing and executing project plans, communicating changes and progress and completing projects on time and budget
    • High level of attention to detail. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
    • Demonstrated creativity
    • Excellent record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to develop effective working relationships at all organizational levels
    • Highly motivated with a strong achievement orientation and a drive for results as an individual and as a team player
    • A working knowledge of the Appvion’s products and the markets in which they are sold
