  • Expected Results

    • Provide leadership and coordination of the Spring Mill campus medical function to conserve, protect and promote the health and safety of the employees in the work place.
    • Coordinate and provide high quality patient care for all employees at the Spring Mill campus.

    Supporting Activities

    • Provide clinical care, nursing assessments and interventions with a focus on promoting and restoring health, preventing injury and illnesses and protecting workers from occupational and environmental hazards.
    • Administer disability and return to work programs for all Spring Mill site employees.
    • Provide case management services for work related and identified personal cases.
    • Act as a liaison for the Company with local physicians, other health care agencies and third party administrators.
    • Provide health education and counseling, preventative health services, health promotion and disease prevention strategies, using primary, secondary and tertiary prevention principles.
    • Assist the Wellness Team on the design and implementation of wellness programs.
    • Work collaboratively with the Medical Advisor to develop medical policies and procedures as required.
    • Provide direct communication and medical consultation to manufacturing and function leaders representing assigned areas.
    • Maintain confidential medical records to include pre-employment medical exams and drug-screening process.
    • Review documentation and billing inquiries for medical necessity and accuracy.
    • Participate on Mill Duty team rotation
    • The regular schedule will be Monday - Friday day shift, occasional off schedule work may be requested.

    Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Registered nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
    • Certified in CPR and AED use.

    Additional Desired Experience and Skills:

    • Previous experience in an occupational health setting desired; or case management experience considered in lieu of occupational health experience
    • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, all federal and state regulations regarding Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Workers’ Compensation and Disability.
    • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner programs as an adult or family nurse practitioner preferred.
    • A Master's degree is preferred.
    • Current NP license and BLS/CPR certification required.
