  • Expected Results

    • Service the Appleton Plant’s customer needs
    • Maintain accurate Storeroom inventory
    • Assure Storeroom parts are in the proper locations
    • Add new parts to Storeroom inventory
    • Maintain a clean and organized Storeroom
    • Provide up to date Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all plant equipment
    • Assure Bill of Material parts lists are accurate
    • Generate repetitive task work orders for equipment
    • Interface with plant and corporate IT personnel on system hardware, software, and other issues as they relate to the CHAMPS application

    Supporting Activities

    • Assist Maintenance and Operations personnel in locating parts, properly filling out the necessary requisition forms, and filling customer orders
    • Generate Storeroom inventory reports to verify issues, previous-day returns and receipts, as well as make necessary reconciliations.  This involves packaging and preparing paperwork for items that need to be sent out for repairs or back to the vendor due to the wrong parts being sent or over shipment.
    • Perform the physical inventory of the Storeroom by verifying shelf descriptions and shelf locations match the Physical Inventory Count report, and documenting the results
    • Assist with receiving Storeroom parts by verifying the part’s description and quantity with the packing slip, contacting vendors with discrepancies, and electronically receiving the parts into JD Edwards (Appleton’s ERP system)
    • Assist with physically receiving Storeroom parts by unloading inventory parts from Receiving, signing for packages delivered to the Storeroom counter, picking up FedEx parts delivered to the Receptionist Area, and physically placing those parts on Storeroom shelves
    • Add new parts to the Storeroom inventory by assigning SKU numbers and bin locations, creating labels, and assigning parts to a bill-of-material.
    • Clean and straighten the Storeroom as to comply with the 5S principles
    • Develop and maintain CMMS database for Bill of Materials, Repetitive Tasks, Preventive Maintenance Plans for equipment
    • Identify, coordinate, and provide training for all Champs users
    • Develop procedure and training documents for Champs
    • Issue and maintain security for Champs by adding or removing users
    • Develop procedures for new equipment entry as well as removal of equipment or modifications
    • Coordinate Champs upgrades for the plant and address Champs problems users are experiencing
    • Check and reconcile interface and work with IT if issues occur
    • Generate reports for Maintenance, Accounting, Purchasing, and Plant Management
    • Conduct physical inventory of the Storeroom
    • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor

    Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills

    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to complete assigned tasks with little supervision
    • Work well with others, as well as individually
    • Ability to utilize and learn different computer management systems – Crystal Reports, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards & CHAMPS (Computerized-Maintenance-Management System)
    • Inventory management experience a plus
    • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs
    • Good attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Strong focus on quality and customer service
    • Ability to utilize different computer management systems – Datalink Viewer, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards, CHAMPS, CMMS
    • Associates Degree in applicable field of study required.
