What we need from you

This position supports infrastructure consisting of multiple locations local and wide area networks, including switches, routers, wireless, and relevant protocols. You will also have the opportunity to be a leader in security awareness and security products to reduce risk to the company computer systems, networks and information.

 

  • Strong knowledge of networking and associated protocol including WAN/LAN/Wireless/PtP.
  • Provide performance management analysis, guidance and tuning of network.
  • Experience and knowledge of edge security technologies including Firewall, IPS, NAT, VPN.
  • Support of security solutions to include multifactor Authentication, SIEM, mail protection
  • Conceptual knowledge of security framework and security governance.

  • Assists with other technical tasks as needed.
  • Be part of a rotational on-call to support 24/7/365 business.

What we are looking for

  • College diploma or university degree and/or 7-10 years equivalent work experience.
  • Conceptual knowledge of storage, virtualization, VMware and other infrastructure technologies.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Leads design/development and delivery of solutions within and across areas of responsibility.
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
  • Good analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Very strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience with Extreme, Ubiquiti, AlienVault, Orion VoIP a plus.
